Petersons are able to offer a complete probate service from initial advice on calculating inheritance tax liabilities through suggesting possible ways of mitigating and reducing those probate liabilities and moving onto advice about what needs to be included in wills to achieve a clients wishes. We also have experience of acting as executors and subsequently obtaining probate after death. Alternatively if we are not the named executors we can advise the executors and prepare the necessary probate statement for swearing.
When dealing with probate we are able to advise on powers of attorney, the most tax effective ownership of properties and whether trusts are appropriate. We can arrange on your behalf for any necessary legal documents including wills to be set up according to your instructions. If matters have not been planned sufficiently well for tax purposes before death we are also able to advise and suggest possible deeds of family arrangement.
